Experience
I’m a writer with 14 years (1995 – 2009) of published experience. My background is journalism, a field in which I worked for five years. I’m also a published writer of short fiction, non-fiction and criticism. My current passion is writing comics, but I still write short fiction as well. Here is a detailed list of my published writing experience:
Comics
Special Edition: Writer
I’m currently one of the writers bringing artist 3!LL’s stories to life in the Special Edition project. I’ve written three comics to date. The first, “Ghost of the Skid” was published on bohemian-zen.com on June 23, 2009. The other two will be published as part of Season 2 of Special Edition, which starts in December 2009.
Black Salt #1: Writer
I was hired by Owen Ratliff to adapt his motion picture screenplay into comic form. Black Salt #1 became available for mobile devices at ComicsXP in September 2009. (Check it out for only 99 cents!) A print version is due before the end of 2009.
Black Salt #2: Writer
The story started in Black Salt #1 continues in the second issue. The creative team is back, including me on writing chores. I turned in my script in September. Artwork began a week later. The comic is scheduled to be released in December 2009.
Cutter’s Reward: Writer / Creator
This short Western / horror comic appears in the Halloween 2009 edition of IF-X. The art is by S.T. Smith.
You can buy a copy of the Halloween 2009 edition of IF-X at the Hamtramck Idea Men Web site.
The Three Princes: Writer / Creator
This 30-page crime story was illustrated by Manoel Magalhães for an anthology of crime comics. The anthology is the brainchild of Ed Brisson and will be released in early 2010.
Psychosis: Writer / Creator
I wrote this 96-page graphic novel. I also assembled a creative team and financed its creation. It was completed in early 2007. After shopping it around to a few publishers I decided to self-publish it through www.lulu.com. It is now available for sale.
